"I'm sorry about the mix-up. My friend here means no harm. He just thinks that he has found his soul mate."
"There she is!" Pete and Samuel ran upstairs.
Logan turned to me. "We sincerely apologize, and we will now leave you to finish putting up your poster of... this really old guy." He looked closer to the flyers I had in my hands.
"Professor Xanders died last week," I explained.
"Okay, so were you and Xanders..." He paused.
"Sorry. 'Sjust you're putting a poster of him up in your hallway. You can see where I get the impression he's a little bit more than a teacher." He continued grinning.
I rolled my eyes, making Logan look surprised.
"You don't know me, but you don't like me." Logan smiled widely.
"I know you. I met you when you and your friends embarrassed Max like that."
Logan raised an eyebrow. "Max? Yes, Max. I'm sorry. It slipped my mind. Of course I met you yesterday with Max. Nice to see you again..."
"Rory!" I exasperated. "Why do you always speak to people as if they're below you?"
"Nice to see you again, Rory. You're looking well. Angry works for you," Logan said.
I rolled my eyes. "I'm just irritated by how you treated Max. It's how you said it."
"I'm sorry. What did I say that was so bad? I said hello and I think I said he made a kick-ass margarita"
"Just because somebody doesn't have money or a fancy family doesn't mean they're inferior to you."
"I agree."
"And just because somebody is a bartender at a party for you and your friends, that doesn't mean that you can talk to them like a servant."
I turned to walk away.
I had to admit, he looked amazing with his white button-up with the first two undone, his tie hung loosely around his neck, and slight-sagged khaki pants.
